Our Story
Our coffee journey began behind the counter, working as a barista during college, where a love for coffee was first sparked. This passion quickly grew, leading to a role as a coffee roaster at Uncommon Grounds in Vermont, where the art and science of coffee truly came to life.
From there, the journey continued to Brooklyn Roasting Company, where we advanced to Head Roaster, curating and blending single-origin coffees from top importers. This role honed our ability to select, test, and perfect each blend, always striving for the ideal cup.
Years later, at Louis Dreyfus Company, a global leader in coffee trading, we managed quality control and worked closely with some of North America’s most iconic coffee brands, including Peet’s, Starbucks, and Dunkin’ Donuts. Scoring and cupping coffees from every level of quality—from the world's rarest, high-grade beans to bulk orders for mass-market brands—deepened our understanding of what makes an exceptional cup. We immersed ourselves in every aspect, from origin and processing to roast profile and final brew.
The dream has always been to bring this extensive knowledge and experience back home, to create something unique, local, and independent. With every batch we roast, we’re committed to delivering exceptional coffee crafted with skill, dedication, and an unwavering love for the process.
